Psalm 103:10 is a strong reminder of God's grace. The entire chapter of Psalms describes what God does for individuals and that everyone should praise Him. Take a moment and think about the law God gave us. How have you measured up this year...this week...even just today? Jesus says: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Matthew 22:37-39) That is a huge order. I know it is still early in the day and I've already fallen short of that order in ways I know and probably in some ways I don't realize. Thinking back on my week, I know how much I have disappointed God and yet He has done so much for me and everyone I know.
"Who forgives all your sins
and heals your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love." (Psalm 103:3-8)
As the old hymn says: "Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!"

What are your thoughts on the verses I used?
Meditate on His Word day and night- keep a way of reminding you of a daily Bible Verse- put it on your refrigerator, inside of your door, purse...
ReplyDeleteFear also holds us back- fear of failure and successes. Success can hold us back because it can make us confident in our own (God given) abilities, and can allow us not to look at Gods way or God's plan in our life, as something else has worked previously.
Thought of this as I read your post. My verse for today: Joshua 1:9: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Thanks for posting Lyd!!!
